About
Hello World. Meet Julian.
I’m an iPhone game developer recently moved from Bristol in the UK to the US. I’m used to remote working using IM and other similar technologies. If you need to talk to someone about iPhone development please talk to me.
Actually, I develop for pretty much anything (PC and consoles) and have been doing so since 1995; I’ve worked on a number of games you might have heard of:
- Defcon 5 – my first game. Fortunately it’s awfulness didn’t deter me
. The best review quote (can’t remember where from) was “…lonely world of carpets…” - Frogger, Beast Wars: Transformers, MediEvil (PS1 & PC incarnations).
- MediEvil2, Ghosthunter – I was the Lead programmer working with some of the best people. We worked very closely with the guys from Primal and shared a lot of technology between us.
- 24, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Viva Pinata (PC), Ghost Rider (though as Technical Director all I did was nod)
- Some other stuff I can’t mention on 360 & DS.
I’m currently working on an exciting project for the iPhone. Stay tuned for updates!

About this website
As you’ve probably noticed, I don’t tend to post very often. If I do, it will either be
- something happened and I need to share it with the world
- something broke and maybe I can help others
- I’ve written something you really need to read (unlikely)
- Or it’s about family and genealogy
Family History
If you’ve found this site looking for information about Rex genealogy or any of the following surnames (Allman, Baines, Beer, Collins, Feist, Naish) then please look at the genealogy section.
